FourPlus Immersive Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 12558660 whose registered office is at Centre City House 7 Hill Street, Floor 16, C/O JQB, Birmingham, England, B5 4UA (‘Company’, ‘we’, ‘us’, or ‘our’). This Privacy Policy describes how and why we might collect, store, use, and/or share (‘process’) your information when you use our services (‘Services’), namely when you download and use our Proteus application (‘App’) from the Meta Quest app store.
- This Privacy Policy only applies when you download the App from the Meta Quest App Lab store and use the App. For our website privacy policy, click here.

- We do not process any identifying information via the App. There is no in-App profile or login to use the App, and there are no options to input any personal details. We do not process any contact information.
– Please note: A Meta, Facebook or Oculus account is required to use the Meta Quest device and access Meta Quest apps; personal information you provide to Meta is not forwarded to us and is not covered by this Privacy Policy.
- We do collect geolocation data from the server processing license requests on the first occasion in which the license is activated. The geolocation data is collected with alignment to the institution from which the license is validated. It enables us to locate the geography and confirm authorised use at the specified site. It is however not personally identifiable as it is neither precise nor accurate. The FourPlus server securely stores your data in our London database on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Geolocation data will be stored for the entirety of the license period and consent for this geolocation data will be requested for upon downloading the Proteus app or signing a license agreement. Once this time period has expired, the data will be deleted with the license.
- We may receive data from others:
- Meta provides app developers (including us) with data (see here), including:
- Unique identifiers for users or user devices (anonymised or hashed user IDs);
- How many users have installed or used the App in specified timeframes (number figure only);
- How often and for how long the App is used;
- Average user ratings;
- Average framerate;
- Active users per country; and
- Crash log information if the App crashes.
- This data is aggregated so it cannot be used to identify an individual.
- We process this data in order to improve our Services.
- Any such data we receive from Meta is processed in accordance with the Oculus Developer Data User policy (see section 4 for permitted uses of user data and section 6 for cases when user data may be shared). Anonymised and aggregated data cannot be removed.
- We may receive reviews or testimonials from App users via public channels including the Meta Quest store, which may be shared with us under the terms of those channels or review outlets. We process this information in order to fulfil our legitimate interests and to improve and market the App.
- We keep our Privacy Policy under regular review. This Privacy Policy may be updated as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws and regulations. The updated version will be indicated by a new ‘Last updated’ date at the top of this Privacy Policy and will be effective as soon as it is accessible.
